Sensei Joane Orbon
Sensei Orbon is a third degree black belt in Goju- Ryu Karate- do with over 18 years of martial arts experience. She began her karate journey at seven years old in Stockton, California training under Sensei Gene Tibon. Since then, she has become one of the United States most decorated athletes representing the country at national and international competitions. Sensei Orbon has won 12 National Championship titles, 6 Continental Championship Titles, and has been ranked in the World Karate Federation as 7th in the World.
Sensei Orbon’s history on the USA National Team started when she was 13 years old and has maintained National Team status for 10 years before retiring. She was offered the opportunity to fight for the Philippine National Team which she accepted at the end of 2019 and plans to continue competing towards the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo where karate will debut for the first time in history.
